Dogs by nature are pack animals and so need leadership in the way that a dog can understand it. I believe there are ways to teach a dog without the use of force and this is what I accomplish — I am able to lead dogs and teach pet owners to take a leadership role energetically with their dogs ensuring a well trained canine family companion.

Training with Fresh Start
- Training services are available in your home or at a location near your home in the following areas: Marin County and San Francisco.
Other arrangements may be made for East Bay and Sonoma County clients. - Begin training early – around 12 weeks of age, depending on the breed, is the ideal age to start working with your puppy.
- Your dog can be trained to run next to a bicycle and/or walk on a treadmill so that you have options for exercising your pet even with a busy schedule.
- I can help you and your dog tackle various different training tasks including basic commands, socialization and behavioral problems.
- I can work with you and your dog to ensure the safety of your feline and canine companions. Additionally, I can work with you to safely integrate new canine family members into your household.
- I provide in-home consultations prior to your canine companion's arrival to ensure his/her safety and comfort.
- Training programs are tailored to specifically address you and your dog's needs.
Training and Boarding with Fresh Start
- I provide training services during your dog's stay at Fresh Start for an additional daily fee.
- When I am boarding and training your pet, it provides me the opportunity to work with your dog consistently and effectively over several consecutive days.
Boarding with Fresh Start
- Canine guests sleep in their own personal crate/pen located in my home.
- Compatible guests are matched up for plenty of play and social interaction in one of four large play areas filled with safe, durable toys.
- Gina, who has worked with me for over 5 years, looks after the "kids" when I am providing training services off site.
- I provide transportation to and from my home in Santa Rosa by meeting you near the freeway in Marin Monday through Thursday. (Time permitting, arrangements can be made Monday through Thursday for pick up and/or delivery to your home for an additional fee).
- Each guest receives a bath prior to going home with a 3 night or longer stay.
- Dogs receive cookies before going to bed and appropriate treats during the day.
- I am happy to administer any medications needed during your pet's stay with Fresh Start.
